Chickahominy Fall Festival and Pow Wow returns

Above, Head Female Dancer Hailey Holmes of the Chickahominy Tribe enters the arena during the 70th Annual Chickahominy Festival and Pow Wow held on Sept. 24-25 in Charles City County. The event returned after a two-year hiatus, drawing in thousands of people and returning to the roots of sharing knowledge and traditions of the Native American tribe. Below, the royal court of the festival is crowned as (l to r) Sara Jefferson is named Miss Chickahominy, McKinley Johnson is crowned as Little Miss Chickahominy, and Olivia Adkins is recognized as Junior Miss Chickahominy.
