McLaughlin graduates from School of Police Staff and Command
New Kent County Sheriff’s Captain J. Joseph McLaughlin III graduated from the School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC) at Northwestern University.
McLaughlin completed the 22-week course which provides upper-level college instruction in a total of 27 core blocks. Topics include leadership, human resources, employee relations, organizational behavior, applied statistics, planning and policy development, and budgeting and resource allocation.
McLaughlin was one of 21 students to complete the program, which was held in Evanston, Illinois from May to October.
