Bottom of the Bridge LaSertoma offering two $1,500 scholarships

Bottom of the Bridge LaSertoma Club is offering two scholarship grants to graduating students of New Kent High School.

A $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a New Kent High School Senior pursuing a college education at either a community college or four-year institution. Another $1,500 will be awarded to a New Kent High School senior enrolled in a technical, nursing, or culinary arts field through Bridging Communities Career and Technical Center.

To be eligible for the scholarship, a high school senior must reside in New Kent County, and attend New Kent High School, Code RVA, Maggie Walker Governor’s School, or be home-schooled. The scholarship will be awarded based on financial needs, grades, future education, and community work.

Students graduating from Bridging Communities, a technical scholarship application can be obtained at the admission office with information to complete along with the application.

Students are responsible for submitting their scholarship application to New Kent High School’s Guidance Counselors Office, Bridging Communities Admissions Office, or by mailing Bottom of the Bridge LaSertoma, P.O. Box 212, Quinton, VA 23141.

Deadline application to receive the scholarship is May 3.
