Bailey announces bid to run for sheriff of New Kent County

Lee Bailey has announced his intention to run for sheriff of New Kent County.

Bailey began as a cadet at Quinton Volunteer Fire Department. He began his law enforcement career at the age of 23 and has more than 40 years of public safety service.

“I have always focused on being a problem solver, dedicated to the safety and well-being of the citizens, and visitors to our community,” Bailey said in a press release. “Serving the people of this county as your next sheriff will be an honor that I take very seriously. I would be humbled by your support and seek your vote.”
