Swynford not seeking re-election to New Kent School Board

Kristin Swynford, a two-term member of New Kent County’s School Board, will not be seeking re-election to represent District 2 in November.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to have served on the school board,” she said in a press release. “I am proud of the work accomplished in partnership with our superintendent, Dr. Brian Nichols, and county leaders.”

Swynford expressed that serving the students and families in New Kent since 2016 has been a privilege and is confident that all five schools in the county are well-positioned to continue to excel and succeed with strong leadership in place.

“It was an honor to be a part of the effort to provide the highest quality teaching and learning environment for our students,” Swynford concluded.
