Klink to run for Commonwealth Attorney of Charles City County

Tyler Klink has announced his candidacy for the position of Commonwealth’s Attorney of Charles City County.

“I’m running for Commonwealth’s Attorney because my experience as a prosecutor, because my family has decided to make Charles City our home, and because I’m passionate about making the community that we live in safe for everyone,” Klink said in a press release, referencing his tenures in Pittsylvania County, a special prosecutor in other courts, and his current position as Charles City County’s Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney. “I believe that Charles City both needs and deserves an experienced prosecutor as Commonwealth Attorney.

“I believe in treating victims of crime with dignity and respect, and I also believe in treating defendants fairly and impartially,” he added. “I hope to teach our community, particularly our children, about the workings of the court system, changes in the law, and the dangers of various criminal conduct.
