Evelyn announces re-election campaign for New Kent County treasurer

Current New Kent County treasurer Charles Evelyn has announced he is seeking re-election to the position as part of the November general election.

“We have accomplished many things in the treasurer’s office in a short period of time,” Evelyn said in a press release. “For the first time ever, New Kent County Treasurer’s office is now fully accredited by the Treasurer’s Association of Virginia.

“I will continue to push for technological and customer service improvements in a fiscally responsible manner,” he continued. “If elected, I look forward to continue serving the citizens and taxpayers of New Kent County while never forgetting that they are who I work for.”
