Adkins selected as a Fellow to the National Academy of Public Administration
Byron Adkins Jr., a 1999 graduate of Charles City High School, was selected by the National Academy of Public Administration for inclusion in its 2023 Class of Academy Fellows in recognition of his years of public administration service and expertise.
“I stand on the shoulders of many giants from the Charles City community and I’m sincerely grateful for the support and encouragement I have received throughout my career,” Adkins said in a press release as part of his selection.
Adkins, who works as the Director of the Interior Business Center for the U.S. Department of the Interior, was selected for his expertise in his field, meeting criteria for his contributions, and his support to have a just, fair, and inclusive government that strengthens communities.
Adkins’ formal induction will take place Nov. 1-3 in Washington D.C.
