The Reserve Chardonnay and Merlot from New Kent Winery have been awarded gold medals from the 2024 Virginia Governor’s Cup.

A panel of judges voted that the flagship Reserve Chardonnay and Merlot, both grown at New Kent Winery, were the top drinks in their categories, earning an average of 90 points or higher on a 100-point scale.

“We are incredibly honored to receive gold medals for both our Reserve Chardonnay and Merlot,” said Jo Anna Dombroski, co-owner of New Kent Winery. “These awards are a testament to the dedication and passion of our winemaking team, as well as the exceptional vineyard sites we have here in the Virginia Peninsula AVA.”

In addition, New Kent Winery earned a silver medal for its Norton.
