Bottom of the Bridge LaSertoma announces scholarship recipients

Bottom of the Bridge LaSertoma has announced several award winners as part of their annual scholarship process.

New Kent High School senior Delaney Sherman was selected as the $3,000 recipient of the Bottom of the Bridge LaSertoma grant. Delaney will be attending Radford University and plans to major in nursing.

Five technical scholarships were also awarded to New Kent High School seniors by the organization this year. Gloria Shin received a $3,000 scholarship and will attend Virginia Commonwealth University. Makenna Williams, Cambell Coyle, Hannah Couch, and Emily Clair Ward will also receive awards in the amount of $1,000 each. Coyle is also the recipient of the Youth Service and Regional Youth volunteer award and receive a $200 award for her service.
