New Kent Fire Station 6 grand opening ceremony

A coupling ceremony took place the morning of Aug. 6 to signify the grand opening Fire Station 6 in New Kent County. Located at 1835 Pocahontas Trail in the western portion of the county, the new station provides access for emergency services to one of the fastest growing areas in New Kent. Firefighters of the station have already been praised for their quick response time, including a medical incident during their early operating phases as well as their ability to help resolve issues along the Interstate 64 corridor.
