New Kent residents place at Virginia State Fair

A pair of New Kent residents were recognized as winners in a number of categories at the Virginia State Fair.

Billy Hott of Lanexa placed first with the best butterbeans at the event and earned a second-place finish in the hay category. Jimmy Talley was selected as the first-place winner with his alfalfa.
