Above, Madison Taggart (center) was announced as New Kent Middle School’s recipient of the Kip Kephart Foundation Citizenship Award. Presented by New Kent Sheriff’s Office, the award is earned by students who demonstrate strong character and make a meaningful impact on their school community. Students are nominated by school staff to receive the award, with presentations made by New Kent County Sheriff Lee Bailey, Kip Kephart Foundation President Steve Rula, New Kent County Public Schools’ Superintendent Brian Nichols, and the principals at each respective school.
