Letter to the Editor: Says senior citizen subdivision not maintained after ice storm
For the last five days, I have been stranded in the Groves Community of New Kent.
Our roads are sheets of ice. With the majority of our community as seniors, people are falling and getting hurt. The owners are nowhere to be found.
When I moved here from New York a year ago, I was told as many others were that the owners took care of shoveling the sidewalks and driveways. I am 66 years old and was outside with a hammer trying to break ice. My husband fell last year, and it has been constant surgeries and visits to the ICU.
I thought we would be safe moving here to a senior community where management said they were going to take care of their seniors. I am shocked and appalled at the response from the Goodman Management. It’s shameful.
