Peaden hired as new Airport Manager for New Kent County Airport
New Kent County has hired Russell Lee Peaden, C.M., to serve as the new Airport Manager for New Kent County Airport.
Peaden steps into the new position after a 25-year career at Richmond International Airport, where he recently retired as Director of Properties and Concessions. During that tenure, he oversaw a broad portfolio of commercial operations such as airlines, rental car companies, food and retail concessions, federal and state agencies, cargo operators, and fixed-base aviation services.
“New Kent County looks forward to the leadership and energy Russ will bring to the airport,” said County Administrator Rodney Hathaway in a press release. “His proven track record, combined with his passion for aviation and service, positions him to guide the airport into its next phase of development, strengthening its role as a vital asset to the region.”
Among his many accomplishments including assembling an award-winning Airport Food and Retail Concession Program that generated $15 million dollars annually, as well as $11.5 million commercial property portfolio, ensuring compliance with agreements and legal documents while maintaining strong business relationships.
“When I decided to join New Kent County, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my vision aligns with the county’s commitment to responsible growth, operational excellence, as well as providing a welcoming environment for pilots, businesses, and visitors,” Peaden said in a press release.
