Interstate 64 expansion will see westbound entrance, exit ramp at Courthouse Road to close this weekend

More closures will take place overnight this upcoming weekend on Interstate 64 as part of the highway’s widening improvement project.

Beginning Friday, Aug. 13, 10 p.m. to Saturday, Aug. 14, 5 a.m., the westbound ramp from Interstate 64 to Route 155 at Exit 214 (Providence Forge/New Kent Courthouse) will be closed. On Aug. 16 from 10 p.m. to Aug. 17, 5 a.m., the ramp from Route 155 (Courthouse Road) to Interstate 64 westbound will be closed.

Detours for motorists traveling on Interstate 64 westbound will redirect them to Exit 211 (Emmaus Church Road). Traffic who normally use the exit ramp from (Courthouse Road) to get on Interstate 64 will be redirected to either Route 249 (New Kent Highway) or Route 60 (Pocahontas Trail).
