J.B. Warlick, a resident of Providence Forge, was named to the President’s List at the University of Alabama for the Fall 2024 semester. To be named to the list, a student must be enrolled full-time and accumulate a grade-point average of 4.0.
Two local students were named to the Dean’s List at the University of Maryland Global Campus for the Fall 2024 semester. Brandon Harcum of New Kent and Tenisha High-Adams of Providence Forge were recognized for their academic excellence. In order to be named to the Dean’s List, a student must complete at least six credits during the term and earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

Adam Cable, a resident of Quinton, recently completed his studies at Frostburg State University. Cable graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science as part of December commencement ceremonies.
Rachel Owens, a resident of Lanexa, was named to the Dean’s List at Shenandoah University for the Fall 2024 semester. To be recognized for the achievement, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.
Four local residents were recognized for their academic achievements by Southern New Hampshire University. Casandra Nardo, Donald Warren, and Glen Zabriskie, all of Quinton, were named to the Fall 2024 President’s List. To earn the recognition, a student must be taking at least 12 credits and earn a grade-point average of 3.7 or higher. Kyle McCuistion of Providence Forge was named to the Dean’s List for the Fall term. To earn the honor, a student must be taking at least 12 credits and accumulate a grade-point average of 3.5.
A Quinton resident has earned their undergraduate degree from Fort Hays State University. William Townsend was recognized during Fall commencement ceremonies on Dec. 13-14 at the University. Townsend earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture.
Rappahannock Community College has announced students who acclaimed high academic success for the Fall 2024 semester that reside in New Kent County. Lillie Gearheart, Matthew Luck, and Daniel Meyer reached the highest achievement with their recognition to the Board’s Honor List. Students on the Board’s Honor List earned a grade-point average of 3.8 higher or better. Students named to the Dean’s Honor List (3.5 or higher) were Joseph Briscoe, Karly Cornelius, Nathaniel Henshaw, Berkleigh Newcome, Katherine Payne, and Caleb Rollson. Named to the Honors List (3.2 or higher) were Ian Durkee, Tabitha Gill, and Bryan Lynch.
