Junior BETA clubs from New Kent Elementary School and New Kent Middle School emerged as state winners at the Junior BETA convention in Hampton this past weekend. The winners will be heading to Oklahoma City in June for national competition. In light of recent train accidents off Rockahock Road, I was going to Walker’s Dam Grill on Valentine’s Day. As I approached the railroad crossing, I looked both ways and noticed lights coming from the east.
