The 45th annual New Kent County Fair is Saturday, Aug. 12-14. Applications and information for vendors and sponsors are currently being accepted. Volunteers are needed for set-up, take down, helping out during the fair, and working the parade. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 13. Lucy Adamson, a junior at New Kent High School, was recognized at the 49th Annual Brotherhood-Sisterhood Youth Award ceremony on Feb. 11 in Richmond. The annual award is sponsored by the Interfaith Council of Greater Richmond and is awarded to one high school junior or senior from each of the 50-plus Richmond area schools.
