Delaney Narron, Charles City High School’s Class of 2021 salutatorian, was named to the Honor’s List at Mary Baldwin University for the Spring 2024 semester. In order to be recognized for the achievement, a student must be enrolled full-time and accumulate a grade point average of 3.75 or higher.
Due to the Independence Day holiday falling on Thursday, the next edition of the New Kent-Charles City Chronicle will appear on shelves on Wednesday, July 3. The deadline for the next edition of the newspaper will be Tuesday, July 2, 12 p.m. Chronicle offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5. Louis Iampaglia, a 2020 graduate of New Kent High School, completed his studies at Longwood University following Spring 2024 commencement ceremonies. Iampaglia graduated Summa Cum Laude, double-majoring with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in information and cyber security.
Three local residents recently completed their studies at the College of William and Mary following Spring 2024 commencement ceremonies. Carla Amaya Benitez of Barhamsville, and Augustine Gilbride of Providence Forge, both earned Bachelor of Arts degrees from the college. James St. Martin of Lanexa earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
