Three named to UMGC Dean’s List for Spring semester

Three local students were named to the Dean’s List at the University of Maryland-Global Campus for the Spring 2024 semester. Brandon Harcum of New Kent, Tenisha High-Adams of Providence Forge, and Jennifer Hilton of New Kent were all recognized for their academic accomplishments. In order to be named to the Dean’s List, a student must complete at least six credits during the term and accumulate a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

Several local students named to academic honors lists by James Madison University

Several local residents were recognized by James Madison University for their academic success during the Spring 2024 semester. Alexa Spain of New Kent, Jacob Snawder of Quinton, Clara Fernandez of Lanexa, and Danielle Ellsworth of Quinton were all named to the President’s List. To be recognized for the honor, a student must be enrolled full-time and accumulate a grade-point average of 3.9 or higher. Two local residents earn Dean’s List honors at Shenandoah University

Two local residents were named to the Dean’s List at Shenandoah University for the Spring 2024 semester. Colette Girouard of Quinton and Brylea Ricks of Providence Forge were recognized for their academic achievement. In order to qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Bauer earns Bachelor’s Degree from Hollins University

Emily Bauer, a resident of Charles City, graduated from Hollins University at part of May 19 commencement ceremonies. Bauer graduated Summa Cum Laude, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre.

Seven local residents graduate from James Madison University

Seven local residents recently completed their studies at James Madison University following Spring 2024 commencement day ceremonies. Kelly Higgins of Quinton earned a Master of Arts degree in Counselor Education, with an emphasis in school psychology and counseling education. Kaylei Kipper of Providence Forge graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre, and Molly Wallace of Quinton graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design. Sarah Godsey, a resident of Quinton, completed studies at the College of William and Mary on May 18. Godsey graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education during the Spring commencement ceremony.

Ross named to Dean List at Milwaukee School of Engineering for Spring 2024 semester

Katie Ross, the 2023 valedictorian of New Kent High School, was named to the Dean’s List at the Milwaukee School of Engineering for the Spring 2024 semester. In order to be recognized for the achievement, a student must be taking at least 12 credit hours and earn a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher.
