Three local residents recently completed their studies at the College of William and Mary following Spring 2024 commencement ceremonies. Carla Amaya Benitez of Barhamsville, and Augustine Gilbride of Providence Forge, both earned Bachelor of Arts degrees from the college. James St. Martin of Lanexa earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
Emily Bauer, a resident of Charles City, was named to the Dean’s List at Hollins University for the Spring 2024 semester. In order to be recognized for the achievement, a student must be enrolled full-time and accumulate a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Jason Wallace, Charles City High School’s Class of 2019 valedictorian, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. Wallace earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the School of Arts and Sciences.
Amy Rudolph, a resident of New Kent County, earned Dean’s List honors at Virginia Tech for the Spring 2024 semester. To be recognized for the achievement, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher while enrolled full-time.
A Quinton resident recently completed his collegiate studies at Fort Hays State University. William Townsend graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture as part of Spring 2024 ceremonies.
Laneise Baker, a resident of New Kent, recently completed her studies at the University of Arizona Global Campus. Baker graduated Summa Cum Laude, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business as part of Spring 2024 commencement ceremonies.
New Kent Middle School’s Beta Club earned a top ten finish in national competition last week. New Kent finished eighth place out of 189 teams at the convention held in Savannah, Georgia.
