Lily Ohlschlager posted a grade-point average of 4.6591 as valedictorian of New Kent High School. She was a member of the field hockey team, gymnastics team, and attended Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School. Lily will be attending will be the University of Virginia, planning to major in business and minor in statistics. She is the daughter of Matt and Ashley Ohlschlager.

Three local students were named to the Dean’s List at the University of Maryland-Global Campus for the Spring 2024 semester. Brandon Harcum of New Kent, Tenisha High-Adams of Providence Forge, and Jennifer Hilton of New Kent were all recognized for their academic accomplishments. In order to be named to the Dean’s List, a student must complete at least six credits during the term and accumulate a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.
