Delaney Narron, the salutatorian of Charles City County High School’s Class of 2021, has been named to the Honors List at Mary Baldwin University for the Fall 2021 semester. In order to be named to the list, a student must be taking at least 12 hours in course material and accumulate a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher.
Alan Rice, a resident of Quinton, has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s Dean’s List for the Fall 2021 semester. In order to be recognized for the accolade, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and must be taking at least 12 credit course hours.
Cami DiSanto, a resident of Providence Forge, was named to the Dean’s List at Drury University Day School for the Fall 2021 semester. In order to be named for the honor, a student must accumulate a grade-point average of 3.6 or higher while taking at least 12 semester hours.
Ryan Jones, a resident of Quinton, was named to the Dean’s List at the University of North Georgia for the Fall 2021 semester. In order to be recognized for the accolade, a student must accumulate a grade-point average of 3.5 or better while taking at least 12 credit hours.

Charles City County Circuit Court has received a grant to help with the preservation of local records. The Library of Virginia has awarded $28,419.50 to Charles City County Circuit Court Clerk Victoria Washington for the preservation process. The funds will be used to conserve Deed Books 6, 10, and 20 also Land Book 1882-1887, Land Book 1888-1893, Land Book 1900-1905, Register of Births 1865-1896, and Register of Deaths 1865-1896.
