Wintry weather causes two accidents in New Kent; none in Charles City
Since mixed wintery precipitation began falling last night, State Police have been kept busy on area roads, but only two traffic accidents have been reported in New Kent and none in Charles City as of 9 a.m.
The two accidents in New Kent resulted in vehicle damage only and no injuries, State Police say. But as of 7 a.m. troopers had responded to 46 crashes in the Richmond metropolitan region and were in the process of responding to an additional 17 wrecks. There have been 94 service calls in all handled by State Police dispatchers in the Richmond area.
