New Kent Sheriff’s Office investigating burglary
New Kent Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in solving a daytime burglary that occurred on May 15 at a residence on Pine Fork Road in the county’s western end.
Thieves gained entry by forcing open a bedroom window screen and breaking the window glass and lock. Items stolen included jewelry, a laptop computer, and cash. Two doors apparently sustained damage as the thieves left, a relative of the victim said, adding that investigators recovered some evidence at the scene.
Anyone who spotted a suspicious person or vehicle in the Pine Fork Road area last Thursday should call the sheriff’s office at 966-9500 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
