Six individuals indicted in Charles City Circuit Court

Six individuals were indicted by a Charles City grand jury during Tuesday morning proceedings in Charles City Circuit Court:

–Eric Karl Allen, 51, of the 4400 block of Old Union Road, Charles City, on one count each of malicious wounding and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. According to the indictment, an Aug. 30 incident was the basis of each charge.

–Rodney Edward Bradby Jr., 21, of the 8700 block of Little Elam Road, Charles City, on one count each of burglary, grand larceny, and intent to sell stolen property. Bradby allegedly stole guns and nearly 100 truck batteries and intended to sell them last May 27.

–Christopher Wayne Constable, 38, of the 4900 block of Fishsticks Lane, Providence Forge, on three misdemeanor accounts of assault. The indictments stem from a Nov. 23, 2013 incident in which the defendant allegedly was involved in an altercation.

–Lisa Marie Groffel, 36, of the 6400 block of Maple Road, Quinton, on one misdemeanor count each of driving without a license and refusal to take a breathalyzer test. Groffel was arrested on a DUI charge last May 8 and allegedly refused to take a sobriety test. A background search revealed she did not have a license at the time of the offense.

–Raymond Allen Hall Jr. 37, of the 300 block of Taylorsville Road, Shacklefords, on two counts each of grand larceny and burglary. According to the indictment, on April 28 and May 5 of this year, Hall confiscated a variety of items that included tools, a remote controlled car, and other valuables during two separate break-ins.

–Walter Linwood Miles, 30, of the 5600 block of West Run Road, Charles City, on one count each of forgery, writing a bad check, and obtaining money under false pretenses. Miles allegedly obtained money on Dec. 30, 2013 after writing a check that was deemed invalid.
