Holmes seeks second term in New Kent treasurer’s office
Current New Kent County treasurer Norma C. Holmes has announced that she will seek re-election to the position in the upcoming election.
Holmes is seeking a second term after winning the position in 2012. The Providence Forge Resident has more than 40 years of experience in the Treasurer’s office.
“If re-elected to office, I will continue to serve the citizens of New Kent with integrity and honesty,” said Holmes in a press release.
“I think we’ve done a great job and I’d like to continue to build on that success,” she continued, praising her staff and crediting them with the success over the last four years. “It’s a big job and everyone working in my office understands that.”
Holmes is active in the Treasurer’s Association of Virginia and has completed various training courses as part of their membership. She has also served in other county organizations including the New Kent Clean County Committee and the Quinton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
