Stiers seeks additional term as District 4 supervisor in New Kent
Current New Kent District 4 supervisor Ron Stiers has announced his candidacy for re-election to the position in the upcoming election.
“Four years ago I asked the citizens of District 4 to support me as their representative and they did,” Stiers said in a press release. “My record shows that I have lived up to my promise to be a ‘common sense’ official who said I would listen, learn, lead, and I have.
“As the District 4 representative, I have voted against raising taxes, worked with public utilities, and have strongly supported Heritage Public Library, New Kent Fire and Rescue, and the Transportation Safety Commission,” he continued. “I have a solid record of accomplishments for my constituents and have established a positive, proven record.
“I am committed to building on that record and with my fellow supervisors, promote a more economic growth to make New Kent an even better place to live,” Stiers concluded.
Stiers currently is involved with several organizations including the Forge Foundation, New Kent Chamber of Commerce, Providence Forge Recreation Association, and Providence Forge Presbyterian Church.
