NKSO seeks information on burglaries

An unknown woman (above) is suspected of burglarizing Rick's Deli on Aug. 1. A 1997-2001 Infiniti Q45 (below) is a vehicle authories suspect the woman is driving.

New Kent Sheriff’s Office is asking for information on two unrelated burglaries in the county.

On Aug. 1, deputies responded to a burglary that took place at Rick’s Deli on New Kent Highway. According to the police report, the front window was broken out and Virginia Lottery scratch tickets were stolen. Video surveillence shows an unknown black female (above) who is suspected of the theft and other similar crimes in the Richmond area as well as Southampton and Isle of Wight counties. The suspect was seen driving a light-colored 1997-2001 Infiniti Q45 with a front licensce plate believed to be registered in Virginia. The vehicle also appears to have custom rims.

In an unrelated break-in, at approximately 1:30 a.m. early Monday morning (Aug. 24), unknown suspect(s) burglarized Jim & Scott’s Automative located on Pocohontas Trail in New Kent. The suspect(s) forcibily entered the business, but apparently nothing was taken from inside.

New Kent Sheriff’s Office is asking that if you have any information in regards to either crime to call their office at 966-9500 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
