Visitors fighting at Henrico Jail East arrested

Two people who were at Henrico Jail East visiting an inmate have been arrested for allegedly getting involved in a physical altercation with each other.

Lorena M. Patiller, 24, of the 1100 block of St. John Street, Apt. A, Richmond, and Keiontae S. Pickett, 20, of the 200 block of W. Charity Street, Apt. C, Richmond, were arrested on Aug. 29 at the jail located in New Kent.

According to the arrest report, the two were visiting an inmate when they became involved in a physical altercation. During the altercation, one of the subjects was holding an 11-month old child. Jail deputies separated and arrested the pair. Deputies then escorted the subjects down the hall to the magistrate’s office and warrants were obtained.

Patiller and Pickett are each charged with one count of assault & battery and child endangerment. They were both released on a $2,000 unsecured bond and are scheduled to appear in New Kent General District Court on Sept. 16.
