Drug take back initiative in New Kent scheduled for Sept. 26

New Kent Sheriff’s Office will conduct its annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Initiative on Saturday, Sept. 26, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Teaming with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the sheriff’s office will provide citizens another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by disposing their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs.

Drop off location will be New Kent Sheriff’s office. The service is free and anonymous. No syringes or sharp objects will be accepted for disposal.
