New Kent woman killed in King William crash
A New Kent woman was killed in a two-car vehicle Saturday afternoon in King William.
Wanda M. Brown, 53, died at a local hospital from injuries sustained in the Oct. 17 accident.
According to the police report, shortly before 3:30 p.m., a 2010 Toyota Camry was traveling west on Route 360 (Richmond-Tappahannock Turnpike) near Route 30 (King William Road) when it struck a 2006 Nissan Altima in the rear. The Nissan ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver of the Toyota, Michelle K. Lilly, 24, of North Chesterfield, was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The police report indicates neither Lilly nor Brown were wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
