Ten tagged in indictments by New Kent grand jury
A New Kent grand jury certified indictments against 10 individuals during May 16 proceedings in New Kent Circuit Court.
–Amy Michelle Carter, 39, of the 3600 block of George Washington Memorial Highway, Hayes, on a single count of possession of a controlled substance. Carter allegedly had heroin in her possession upon her arrest.
–Christopher Erhan Catrell, 22, of the 8000 block of Brown Avenue, West Point, on a single count of possession of a controlled substance. The defendant allegedly had heroin upon his arrest.
–Courtney Marie Collier, 20, of the 9000 block of Basswood Drive, Quinton, on a lone charge of possession of a controlled substance. Collier allegedly possessed amphetamine upon her arrest on Feb. 20.
–Milford S. Diggs, 39, of the 500 block of Lampkinton Road, Burgess, on one count of selling or distributing marijuana (more than one-half ounce). The alleged offense took place on Feb. 9.
–Amber Rose Eberwien, 25, of the 18000 block of Vontay Road, Rockville, on one count each of possession of cocaine and possession of heroin. Eberwien allegedly possessed the substance on Oct. 19 when she was arrested.
–Joshua Scott Fuller, 37, of the 500 block of Smith Ferry Road, West Point, on a single charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. On Jan. 21, Fuller allegedly drove a vehicle belonging to Whitmore Chevrolet without the business’ permission.
–Randall Joseph Kiersted, 35, of the 800 block of West Riverside Drive, Lanexa, on a single count of strangulation. The offense allegedly took place on Dec. 7, 2015.
–Larry Taylor, 50, of the 900 block of 37th Street, Newport News, on one count each of petty larceny (third offense) and misdemeanor attempted petty larceny. Taylor allegedly stole lottery tickets from one store and attempted to cash them in at the 7-Eleven store in Eltham on Feb. 19. He is currently being held on a $10,000 secured bond.
–Richard Gene Wray, 40, of the 3200 block of Wahrani Lane, Lanexa, on one count of receiving or buying stolen goods. On Feb. 20, Wray allegedly bought U.S. currency with the knowledge that the money had been stolen.
–Jamshid Alaei Yeganeh, 36, of the 9000 block of Cosby Mill Road, Quinton, on a single count of violating a protective order (third offense within 20 years). The alleged offense date is Dec. 2, 2015.
