Forgery, uttering charges lead to arrest of Quinton man
A Quinton man is now being held without bond after allegedly passing fake counterfeit bills at a number of locations in New Kent.
Ross Maurice Thompson, 33, has been charged with four counts of forging coin and bank notes and four counts of uttering.
According to the arrest report, the suspect passed $100 counterfeit bills at various businesses in the county from Oct. 3-11. Witness information and surveillance video were used by New Kent Sheriff’s Office and Thompson was developed as a suspect. He was apprehended without incident on Oct. 14.
Thompson is currently being held at Henrico Jail West without bond. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
