Stolen firearms, larceny among indictments in New Kent Circuit Court

A man who stole a variety of items, including a shotgun, was one of 10 individuals indicted by a grand jury during Nov. 21 proceedings in New Kent Circuit Court.

Adam Lawrence Alspaugh, 29, was indicted on two counts of intent to sell stolen property, and one count each of firearm larceny, grand larceny, and transport of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to the indictment, Alspaugh allegedly stole a shotgun belonging to Kevin Rose on Oct. 30. He was also indicted with stealing a chainsaw and a bow belonging to James Holt on the same day. Alspaugh apparently was attempting to sell the items as well.

In other indictments handed up by the grand jury:

–Justin Earl Ball, 25, of the 13000 block of Stage Road, Lanexa, on one count of firearm larceny. The alleged offense took place on May 27.

–Nicholas Paul Garrett, 20, of Sandston, on a single charge of firearm larceny. The defendant allegedly stole a gun belonging to Virginia State Trooper Sgt. R. Gammon on Aug. 24.

–Melissa Anne Lothrop, 33, of the 6400 block of Lakeway Drive, Mechanicsville, on a lone charge of check larceny The defendant allegedly stole a check belonging to Georgia Scott on June 22.

–Clayton Douglas Musselman, 28, of 4 South Grove Ave., Highland Springs, on three counts of grand larceny. Starting on Feb. 1 and ending on Sept. 30, the defendant allegedly stole gift cards, jewelry, gold coins, gold bars, and a chainsaw belonging to Gary Lee and Susan Musselman.

–Ian Marcus Ramsey, 29, of the 400 block of Matadeguin Lane, Mechanicsville, one a single count of using a sawed off gun for an illegal purpose. Ramsey is accused of using the sawed off weapon while hunting on Sept. 9.

–Kevin Eugene Squire, 47, of the 2900 block of Candle Circle, Chesapeake, on one count of possession of cocaine. Squire allegedly had the substance on him when a state trooper stopped him for a traffic offense on June 3.

–Adolphus Wallace, 57, of the 11000 block of Canora Lane, Providence Forge, on one count of obtaining a credit card without permission. Wallace allegedly took a card belonging to Ricky Lee Testerman on July 5.

–John Steven Wilkinson, 58, of Highland Springs, on one count of making a bomb threat. Wilkinson allegedly committed the offense on Sept. 16.

–Traci Lynn Winkle, of Charles City, on a single count of possession of a controlled substance. The offense allegedly took place on Aug. 22.
