Providence Forge Christmas Parade will take place on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2 p.m. on Route 60 (Pocahontas Trail).

The parade will start at the intersection of Pocahontas Trail and Carriage Road, traveling westbound to Olivet Church Road. It will then make a U-turn and travel eastbound back to Carriage Road.

Pocahontas Trail will close at approximately 1:50 p.m. to traffic and will reopen at 4 p.m. Motorists who are using the highway will be detoured onto Boulevard Road to bypass the route. Motorists traveling through Providence Forge on North Courthouse Road should expect delays and use an alternate route prior to the parade. Residents who live on Carriage Road will start to see floats and parade participants arrive around 11 a.m.

New Kent Sheriff’s Office will be monitoring and diverting traffic during the hours of the parade. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Lt. Jamie Hamby at 966-9500.
