Update: Railroad crossings set for closure in New Kent

After conversations with New Kent Sheriff’s Office and VDOT, CSX rail has revised details in regards to repairs at crossings in New Kent.

Nov. 9: South Waterside Drive at Riverside Drive- CSX personnel will not start work until after school buses have departed for the schools and will be completed prior to the arrival of the school buses in the afternoon. CSX stated that there will be message boards in place to indicate detours for the location.

Nov. 10: Landing Road at Pocahontas Trail- CSX personnel will not start work until after school buses have departed for the schools and will be completed prior to the arrival of the school buses in the afternoon. Message boards will be in place to indicate detours for the location.
