New Kent grand jury certifies indictments for a dozen defendants
A New Kent grand jury certified indictments against a dozen defendants as part of Nov. 20 circuit court proceedings:
–Eric Wayne Bassett, 51, of the 8200 block of Courthouse Road, Providence Forge, on one charge each of shoplifting (second or subsequent offense) and possession of cocaine. The defendant allegedly changed the price on an item at the ABC store on Sept. 4. The possession of cocaine charge allegedly took place on July 23.
–Jeffrey Robert Behney Jr., 22, of the 6000 block of Pine Road, Quinton, on a single charge of malicious wounding. The defendant allegedly attacked Steven Richard Cathell-Willis that resulted in a significant injury.
–Joshua Lewis Francis, 22, of the 5600 block of Lakeside Drive, Henrico, on three counts of credit card larceny and a single count of grand larceny. The defendant allegedly stole credit cards, jewelry, and coins belonging to Robert Wilson on Oct. 2.
–Renee Darnice Gardner, 37, of the 4100 block of Townhouse Road, Apt. Q, Richmond, on a charge of check larceny. Gardner allegedly wrote a bad check from BB&T to Francisco and Robinson Realtors on Aug. 31.
–Turner Jurrell Hall, 37, currently of Henrico Jail East, on a lone charge of assault on a law enforcement officer. The defendant allegedly attacked a deputy while being an inmate on Sept. 15.
–Luke Nathaniel Henning, 37, of the 3200 block of Mount Pleasant Road, Providence Forge, on a single charge of having indecent acts with a minor while the child was in their care. The alleged offense took place on July 8.
–Joshua Davon Livingston, 29, of the 3100 block of Cofer Road, Richmond, on a charge of embezzlement. Livingston allegedly stole money on Apr. 1 while working as an employee of Advance Auto Parts.
–Gregory Alan Norris, 23, of the 700 block of Clint Circle, Fredericksburg, on one count each of felony eluding of police and possession of a controlled substance. Norris allegedly fled from a state trooper on Interstate 64 at speeds nearing 140 miles per hour before later surrendering to police.
–Kai Pan, 34, of the 2000 block of West Broad Street, Richmond, on two counts of forgery and one count of identity theft (second or subsequent offense). Pan allegedly provided false information during a traffic stop on Aug. 3.
–Donald Justin Smith, 24, of the 2100 block of Haskin Road, Goochland, on one charge of identity theft. Smith allegedly used information belonging to Yvonne Curbean without her permission on Aug. 9.
–Victor George Whitesides, 24, of the 7000 block of Chestnut Drive, Quinton, on a single count of felony possession of a weapon or ammunition (not a gun). The alleged offense took place on June 25.
–Jazmia Monae Winston, 29, of the 4100 block of Farm Creek Terrace, Richmond, on a lone charge of distribution of cocaine. Winston allegedly tried to sell the substance on Feb. 15.
