Alleged armed robbers among New Kent Circuit Court grand jury indictments

Two men who allegedly took part in an armed robbery were among many indictments handed up by a grand jury during Monday proceedings in New Kent Circuit.

Isaac Tyrell Sturdivant, 18, of the 19000 block of Turk Drive, Charles City, and Dev’ron Lemar Cowles, 21, of the 5700 block of Centerville Road, Williamsburg, were each indicted on two charges of armed robbery and one charge of use of a firearm in a commission of a felony. The two defendants allegedly used a gun to rob Brock Richards on Apr. 8.

In other indictments certified by the grand jury:

–Kevin Wayne Craig, 44, of the 500 block of E. Washington Street, Highland Springs, on a single charge of possession of a controlled substance. The offense allegedly took place on June 6.

–Bryan Crow, 35, of the 5800 block of Farmers Drive, Barhamsville, on a single charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. The defendant allegedly used a vehicle belonging to Holly Gwyn on June 21 without her permission.

–Christopher Recardo Delaney Sr., 32, of the 2000 block of Old Route 60, Toano, on a single count of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine). The defendant allegedly possessed the illegal drug on Nov. 18, 2017.

–David Lee Drake, 19, currently of Henrico Jail East, on two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer. The offenses allegedly took place on Mar. 23.

–Braden Marc Fargo, 20, of the 5600 block of Surry Avenue, Newport News, and Joseph Hunter Kiah, 22, of the 300 block of Canton Street, Ogdensburg, New York, each has been indicted on a lone count of malicious wounding. The defendants allegedly attacked Evan Deskins and caused significant injury to the victim.

–Taz Elliot Fisher, 39, of the 9200 block of Boulevard Road, Providence Forge, on a lone charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. Fisher allegedly used a vehicle belonging to Joseph Allen without his permission on May 8.

–Todd Randolph Guthrie, 28, of the 3400 block of Roxbury Road, Charles City, on one charge each of grand larceny and possession of a controlled substance (heroin). Guthrie allegedly stole automotive parts from Ron’s Auto on Sept. 30, 2017 and possessed heroin on Nov. 21, 2017.

–Ryan Collin Hatch, 19, of the 1900 block of Chatsworth Avenue, Richmond, on one count each of unauthorized use of a vehicle, attempting to sell a stolen vehicle, and misdemeanor driving revoked. The offenses allegedly took place on May 22.

–Erich Michael Hibbard II, 47, of the 4600 block of Cedar Cliff Road, Chester, on two charges of felony child abuse. The alleged offense took place on Apr. 22.

–Sierra Jean Heiden, 24, of the 11000 block of Waterview Drive, Chester, on one count each of felony child abuse, misdemeanor DUI, and misdemeanor reckless driver. On July 20, the defendant allegedly operated a vehicle with a child as a passenger on July 20.

–Alphonso Tyrell Johnson, 29, of the 600 block of George Lane, Tappahannock, on one charge of possession of a controlled substance (cannabimimetic agent). The defendant allegedly had the substance in his possession on Nov. 5, 2016.

–Gary Antonio Jones, 21, of the 9400 block of Holly Tree Lane, Charles City, on a lone count of assault on a law enforcement officer. The alleged offense took place on June 2.

–Carsheeka Chantel Kimbrough, 25, of the 2300 block of Bainbridge, Richmond, on two counts of credit card larceny and one count of grand theft auto. The defendant allegedly stole credit cards and a car belonging to Di’mon Solomon on June 18.

–Brian Corey Lemons, 46, of the 13000 block of Cypress Drive, Lanexa, on a single count of possession of a controlled substance. The alleged offense took place on Feb. 20.

–Steven Anthony Odell, 60, of the 100 block of E. Reynolds Avenue, Princeton, West Virginia, on two counts of malicious wounding, and one count each of strangulation and abduction. The alleged offenses took place on June 1.

–Robert Meredith Otey Jr., 36, of the 15000 block of Rockahock Road, Lanexa, on a single charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. On Jan. 23, Otey allegedly used a vehicle belonging to William Jones without his permission.

–Tiffany Monae Quarles, 22, of the 1300 block of Fisherman Road, Norfolk, on a lone count of distribution of marijuana (greater than one-half ounce but less than five pounds). The alleged offense took place on Dec. 24, 2017.

–James Chrisman Rentschler, 57, of the 100 block of Happy Landing Way, Maple, North Carolina, on one count each of burglary and grand larceny. Rentschler allegedly broke into Liberty Baptist Church and stole stereo equipment.

–Garrett Christian Rigsby, 19, of the 5600 block of Buckhunt Lane, New Kent, on a single county of possession of a controlled substance. The offense allegedly took place on Feb. 9.

–Brandon Ralfel Robinson, 30, of the 700 block of Topsider Court, Newport News, on one count each of felony eluding of police, driving as a habitual offender, misdemeanor failing to stop at scene of accident, and misdemeanor reckless driving. The offenses allegedly took place on Mar. 17.

–Willie Lee Scott, 47, of the 2400 block of Courtney Avenue, Norfolk, on a lone charge of driving as a habitual offender. The offense allegedly took place on March 24.

–Jesse William Smith, 35, of the 4600 block of Massena Drive, Williamsburg, on three counts of possession of a controlled substance. Smith allegedly possessed heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl when authorities made the arrest on Feb. 28.

–Luke Joseph Todd, 28, of the 9600 block of Windmere Drive, New Kent, on a charge of DUI (third offense). The alleged crime took place on July 14.

–David Chase Wilson, 22, of the 600 block of Reese Drive, Sandston, on three counts of credit card larceny. Wilson allegedly stole a Suntrust card, Chase card, and a J.C. Penney card belonging to Aaron and Shannon Britton.
