Driver charged with crash into Pizza Hut, Star Express in Bottoms Bridge

New Kent Sheriff’s Office is investigating a vehicle crash into the Pizza Hut and Star Express in Bottoms Bridge Sunday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m. a white van ran into the Pizza Hut at the corner of New Kent Highway (Route 249) and Star Express in Bottoms Bridge. Star Express has been reopened while Pizza Hut is expected to be closed for an undetermined amount of time. No injuries were reported.

New Kent Sheriff’s Office deputies have charged the driver of the van with reckless driving, but their name has not been released. The accident remains under investigation.
