Richmond man arrested for alleged 2017 home invasion in New Kent
A New Kent home invasion case that had been a mystery to law enforcement officers has now seen a breakthrough with a possible suspect taken into custody.
Rashard Davon Terry, 26, of the 2200 block of Farrand Street, Richmond, was arrested on Feb. 4 on charges of burglary, malicious wounding, robbery, abduction, grand theft auto, firearm larceny, conspiracy to commit burglary, and possession of a firearm by a violent felon.
In a joint effort by New Kent Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police, Terry allegedly forced his way into a home on the Colony Trail in Lanexa on Aug. 5, 2017. According to the arrest report, he was one of several individuals to enter the home, restrict the movement of the victim, and assault the victim before taking items from the home.
Terry was arrested at the 1000 block of East Broadway, Hopewell. He was transported to Henrico Jail East and is being held without bond.
