Ferris to challenge for District 2 supervisors’ seat in New Kent

Kate West Ferris has announced that she will be challenging for the District 2 seat to New Kent’s Board of Supervisors in the November general election.

“We are facing a time of rapid growth in New Kent and we need strong, smart leadership to steer that growth,” she said in a press release. “District 2 has seen increased commercial activity in recent years, with much more development on the horizon.

“We want to support smart growth while also keeping New Kent the close community that people love to call home,” Ferris concluded.
