Eleven indicted by grand jury in New Kent Circuit Court

A grand jury certified indictments for 11 individuals during proceedings Monday morning during New Kent Circuit Court:

–Amber Nicole Deaton, 37, of the 5600 block of Hogan Bridge Drive, Providence Forge, on one charge of possession of chemicals by a prisoner. Deaton allegedly had a mix of amphetamine, Alprazolan, Vyvanse, and cocaine on her on May 3.

–Joshua Lynn Escalera, 28, of the 6200 block of Ice Plant Road, Gloucester, on one count each of failing to report an accident, felony hit and run, and assault and battery on a law enforcement officer. The offenses allegedly took place on Apr. 7.

–Charles Lee Futrell III, 28, of the 6400 block of Stoney Point, Norfolk, on a single charge of possession of a controlled substance. The defendant allegedly had Oxycodone on Apr. 16.

–Quentin Andre Huggins, 31, of the 8400 block of Kitchener Road, Gloucester, one on count each of felony child abuse and assault and battery on a law enforcement officer. The offenses allegedly took place on June 14.

–Vanessa Ann Johnson, 45, of the 4900 block of Lewis Puller Memorial Highway, Shacklesford, on a lone charge of embezzlement. Johnson allegedly stole currency or items worth $500 or more from Rick’s Local Deli on May 1.

–Amy Melissa Kelly, 50, of the 800 block of Roam Court, Newport News, on a single charge of prescription fraud. The offense allegedly took place on May 20.

–Louis Keith Miles, 33, of the 1200 block of Grapevine Road, Sandston, on a lone charge of distribution of marijuana (greater than one-half ounce but less than five pounds). The offense allegedly took place on Mar. 20.

–Luis Alejandro Pirela-Linares, 23, of the 1700 block of Forest Glen Road, Richmond, on two counts of distribution of marijuana (greater than one-half ounce but less than five pounds) and one count of distributing cocaine. The alleged offenses took place on Feb. 8.

–Toni Mae Richardson, 62, of the 1400 block of North 19th Street, Richmond, on a single charge of felony child abuse. The offense allegedly took place on July 13.

–Daniel David Rocha, 35, of the 600 block of English Road, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, on a solo charge of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer. The offense allegedly took place on Aug. 4.

–Eric Tremaine Williams Sr., 47, of the 1400 block of Quaker Road, Quinton, on two counts of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, and one misdemeanor count each of brandishing a firearm and resisting arrest by threat. The offenses allegedly took place on Mar. 3.
