Grand jury indicts Charles City man on alleged sex crimes with minor

A Charles City man who allegedly committed sex crimes against a minor was indicted during Nov. 7 proceedings in Charles City Circuit Court.
Tyreek Darnell Bradley, 21, of the 4700 block of Barnetts Road, was indicted on two counts of carnal knowledge without force of a teenager age 13-14. According to the indictment, the defendant committed the acts on Aug. 23 and Aug. 31 of this year.

Bradley also received an additional indictment stemming from an unrelated incident that took place on July 20. The defendant was indicted on a lone count of shooting from a vehicle, with accusations claiming that he fired three bullets from a gun near Adkins Store at another vehicle.

In other indictments certified by the grand jury:

–Terrell Donte Bowman, 34, of the 13000 block of The Glebe Lane, Charles City, on one count each of felony hit and run and misdemeanor driving suspended. According to the indictment, on Mar. 3, Bowman crossed over a center line and side-swiped a vehicle heading in another direction and did not stop after contact was made.

–Jody Diequana Jones, 30, of the 4100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, Richmond, on two counts of felony hit and run and one count each of misdemeanor driving revoked (third offense within ten years) and misdemeanor DUI. Jones allegedly hit a vehicle while traveling on Route 5 (John Tyler Memorial Highway) on June 6.

–Antoinette Crystal Smith, 35, of the 100 block of South Kippax Street, Hopewell, on one count each of burglary and grand larceny. Smith allegedly broke into the residence of Bernard Adkins on Jan. 11 and stole $25,000 in currency.
