Quinton woman indicted on abduction charge by New Kent grand jury
A Quinton woman who allegedly abducted another individual had indictments certified against her by a grand jury during Monday morning proceedings in New Kent Circuit Court.
Karen Leslie MacKay, 41, of the 6600 block of Red Bud Drive, was indicted on one count each of abduction, unlawful wounding, and misdemeanor DUI. The indictments allege that on Jan. 22, MacKay held an individual against their will and hurt them in the process. MacKay allegedly also operated a vehicle while intoxicated on the same day.
In other indictments certified by the grand jury:
–Orrel Shapond Chandler, 43, of the 30 block of Channing Avenue, Portsmouth, on a lone charge of grand larceny. Chandler allegedly stole various items from Love’s Truck Stop on Sept. 25, 2019.
–Jermaile Aubrey Hicks, 34, of the 3300 block of Bunch Place, Richmond, on one count each of grand larceny or petty larceny (second or subsequent offense). Hicks allegedly stole merchandise from Star Express on March 25 and confiscated items from FasMart on March 26.
–Jacqueline M. Green Mitchell, 58, of the 9400 block of Barnetts Road, Charles City, on possession of a schedule I/II substance. The defendant allegedly possessed heroin on Nov. 10, 2019.
–Blain Joseph Moker, 19, of the 13900 block of Stage Road, Lanexa, on one count each of possession of a schedule I/II substance and possession of a schedule III substance. Moker allegedly possessed Oxycodone and Ketamine on Feb. 18.
–Matthew Shane Perkins, 27, of the 11700 block of Enchanted Woods, Fredericksburg, on a single count of possession of a schedule I/II substance. Perkins allegedly possessed methamphetamine on July 6, 2019.
