Grand jury indicts nine in New Kent Circuit Court

A New Kent grand jury certified indictments against nine individuals during Monday morning proceedings in New Kent Circuit Court:

–Melissa Lash Carter, 42, of the 8800 block of Old Elam Cemetery Road, Charles City, on one count of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Carter allegedly possessed cocaine on May 18.

–Joshua Louis Cash, 32, of the 5800 block of Darbytown Road, Richmond, on one count of possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. The offense allegedly took place on Jan. 21.

–Christopher Erhan Cutrell, 27, of the 8300 block of Brown Avenue, Sandston, on one count each of possession of a Schedule I/II substance and misdemeanor trespassing. Cutrell allegedly possessed Fentanyl and entered the property belonging to Teresa Couch on Apr. 16.

–Dean Elliott Huckstep Jr., 38, of the 8900 block of Ellyson Terrance, Quinton, on a single count of malicious wounding. The offense allegedly took place on May 7.

–Kenneth Devon Jones, 25, of the 700 block of Dakota Drive, Woodbridge, on a solo charge of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Jones allegedly possessed a substance known as AP-238 on Mar. 3.

–John Paul Penuel, 41, of the 100 block of East Jerald Street, Sandston, on one count each of grand larceny and felony failure to appear. Penuel allegedly stole vinyl siding and a fiberglass ladder on Feb. 12. He also is alleged to have missed court on Feb. 23.

–Matthew Robert Stillwell, 32, of Chester, VA, on a single count of felony driving revoked after convicted of a DWI/manslaughter conviction. The offense allegedly took place on Apr. 6.

–Christopher Lee Williams, 53, of the 900 block of Crewsville Road, Bumpass, on one count each of abduction by force and misdemeanor sexual batter. The offenses allegedly took place on Feb. 4.

–Karl Allen Yohn, 20, of the 1200 block of University Terrance, Blacksburg, on a single count of felony eluding of police. The offense allegedly took place on Mar. 10.
