Richmond man who allegedly stole firefighting equipment among those indicted by New Kent grand jury

A Richmond man who allegedly stole firefighting equipment and fled from the police has been indicted by a New Kent grand jury.

Fernando Eugene Temple III, of the 1300 block of N. 26th Street, was indicted three counts of grand larceny, two counts of credit card larceny, one count each of felony eluding and felony destruction of a property (monument), and seven counts of misdemeanor petty larceny. The indictment alleges that Temple stole a motor vehicle, a trailer, and firefighting equipment and led authorities on a chase on Oct. 3, 2021, in New Kent County.

In other indictments certified by the grand jury:

–Brandon Lee Able, 33, of the 2200 block of Landing Road, Providence Forge, on a single count of making a bomb threat (with the previous one being 15 years or more). Able allegedly made the threat against a victim on Feb. 11, 2022.

–Joshua Lee Carter, 34, of the 2800 block of General Boulevard, Richmond, on one count of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Carter allegedly possessed methamphetamine on Mar. 25.

–Travis Lamar Harvey, 37, of the 300 block of N. Juniper Avenue, Highland Springs, on one count of distribution of marijuana greater than one ounce but less than five pounds. Harvey allegedly committed the offense on Feb. 24, 2022.

–Casey Rockford Lewis, 29, of the 10000 block of Mt. Prospect Road, New Kent, on one charge each of assault on a law enforcement officer and strangulation. The offenses allegedly took place on Mar. 19.

–Tina Marie Rodriguez, 49, of the 8700 block of Six Mount Zion Road, Toano, on two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Rodriguez was allegedly in possession of both heroin and cocaine on Feb. 26.

–Shawn Samaroo, 40, of the 8100 block of Clovertree Court, Richmond, on a lone count of extortion by writing. Samaroo allegedly threatened to hurt the victim on Dec. 21, 2021.

–Joshua John Scott, 34, of the 199 block of Weston Circle, Hopewell, on a lone charge of felony eluding. The offense allegedly took place on Mar. 28.

–Michael Brandon Smith, 31, of the 1800 block of Rockwood Road, Richmond, on two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Smith was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine on Dec. 29, 2021.

–Ashley Threat, 26, currently of Henrico Jail East, Barhamsville, on a single count of assault on a law enforcement officer. Threat allegedly assaulted a guard on Oct. 1, 2021.

–Ralph Antonio Waller Jr., 23, of the 100 block of Reynolds Farm Road, Lancaster, on one count each of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, felony resisting arrest, possession of a Schedule I/II drug with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I/II drug while in possession of a gun, and felony eluding of police. Waller allegedly fled from police on Interstate 64 and was pursued by officers. When arrested, he allegedly was in possession of methamphetamine and a gun on Apr. 5.

–Jordan Rucker Webb, 37, of the 100 block of Courtney Road, Lancaster, on one count each of possession of a Schedule I/II drug and misdemeanor DUI. Webb allegedly was in possession of Psicolyn after being arrested for misdemeanor DUI on Jan. 30.
