New Kent Sheriff’s Office investigating shooting fatality

New Kent County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding a shooting that resulted in a fatality on Nov. 12.

At approximately 11:58 p.m., New Kent’s Sheriff’s Office responded to the 9000 block of Pine Hollow Road regarding a male suffering from a gunshot wound. When officers arrived, the male was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The body was transported to the medical examiner’s office in Richmond for the official cause of death. The identity of the victim is being withheld from the public until next of kin is notified.
