Fredericksburg man charged with DUI manslaughter in Charles City County

A Fredericksburg man whose alleged negligent driving caused the death of a woman has been indicted by a Charles City grand jury.

Jules Jamar Stewart, 30, of the 4200 block of Normandy Court, was formally indicted on a single count of DUI manslaughter.

According to the indictment, on Aug. 23, 2022, Stewart was operating a vehicle while he was intoxicated. While driving, he caused the death of Abbigail Breeding.

In other indictments certified by the grand jury:

–Gary Lee Wade, 55, of the 12900 block of Wilcox Neck Road, Charles City, on two counts each of malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony (first offense). According to the indictment, Wade made threats against family members, injuring them with a gun in the process of the altercation on Dec. 19, 2022.

–Traci Lynn Winkle, 35, of the 13000 block of The Glebe Lane, Charles City, on a solo charge of misdemeanor destruction of property. Winkle allegedly damaged a vehicle belonging to Suzanne Boisseau on Dec. 21, 2022.
