Mechanicsville man allegedly driving illegally indicted on several charges by New Kent grand jury

A Mechanicsville man who allegedly was driving illegally after having his license taken away due to felony convictions has been indicted by a New Kent grand jury.

Christopher Russell Holt, 33, of the 7000 block of Wahoo Court, has been indicted on one count each of DWI after receiving a felony conviction, driving revoked (felony related), felony eluding, and felony destruction of property as part of Monday morning proceedings in New Kent Circuit Court. According to the indictment, Holt attempted to flee officers on Aug. 21, 2022, and damaged a Lexus Sedan belonging to Francis Wood.

In other indictments certified by the grand jury:

–Anthony Tyrone Adams, 34, of the 4300 block of Victoria Boulevard, Hampton, on a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving by speed. Adams allegedly drove 126 miles per hour in a posted 65 miles per hour zone on Jan. 14.

–Derrick Charles Alford, 32, of the 800 block of Darden Drive, Newport News, on one charge each of possession of a weapon (not gun) by a felon, and felony eluding. Alford allegedly ran from police on Apr. 20, 2021, and when he was taken into custody, a weapon was found in his possession.

–Gerald E. Baker Jr., 46, of the 3000 block of Sassafras Woods Court, Quinton, on one count each of felony eluding and possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Baker allegedly fled from law enforcement officers on Aug. 18, 2022 and after he was taken into custody, cocaine was found in his possession.

–Thomas Darrel Bowe Jr., 48, of the 15000 block of Chieftain Road, Disputanta, on a solo charge of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The defendant was alleged in possession of methamphetamine on Sept. 11, 2022.

–Brian Kevin Carroll Jr., 18, of the 9300 block of Minitree Glen Lane, Providence Forge, on one charge each of possession of a Schedule I/II drug, misdemeanor obstruction of justice, and misdemeanor DUI (first offense). Carroll allegedly operated a vehicle while under the influence of drugs and was in possession of cocaine on Dec. 10, 2022.

–James Alexander Green, 45, of the 11700 block of Twin Brooks Way, Providence Forge, on a lone count of providing a false statement on a criminal history consent form. Green allegedly provided false information when applying for a firearm on Nov. 17, 2021.

–Jeremy Christopher Phegley, 49, on a solo charge of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The defendant was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine on Feb. 2.

–Stacey Rodell Moody Jr., 30, of the 3800 block of Minitree Glen Drive, Providence Forge, on one count each of possession of a Schedule I/II drug, possession of a weapon by a violent felon, and possession of a gun while in possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Moody was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and a gun on Nov. 23, 2022.

–Jamil Tamir Turner, 34, of 16 N. 8th Street, Richmond, on one count each of felony child abuse and misdemeanor DUI with a child in the car (first offense). Turner allegedly operated a vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol while an underaged child was a passenger.

–Daniel Paul Ward, 41, of the 100 block of Westphal Drive, Hampton, on a lone count of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I/II drug. The defendant allegedly attempted to sell methamphetamine on Feb. 4.

–Kevin Thomas Weisert, 36, of the 2400 block of West Main Street, Richmond, on a lone charge of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Weisert was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine on Feb. 1.
